For my degree coursework, my friends and I often studied together in order to better learn our material. We usually met at least once a week and organized new and useful ways to study for upcoming exams.

For a marketing course, my classmates and I were divided into small groups in order to create and market a new product. Once we completed our marketing plan, we presented it to a class of 50 peers.

Throughout my college career, I have been involved in many class projects, requiring me to work in small groups. While working on these assignments, I learned how to collaborate with others in order to get the job done.

In my junior year, I worked with five other students in a biology laboratory on campus. Together, we were able to organize and record all of the necessary data for an experiment that was eventually published in an academic journal.

I ran for President of the Pittsboro Kiwanis Club in 2006.

I won the election and learned how to lead my fellow Kiwanians during meetings and group activities. We held several fundraisers, through which we raised over $50,000.00. This is more than any other Kiwanian President has earned during their term.
